Research Technician I Position

University Health Network is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Technician I to join our team in the Molecular and Cellular Biology department. As a Research Technician I, you will be responsible for performing experiments, maintaining detailed records, and contributing to the development of new research projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform molecular biology assays, including PCR, RT-PCR, DNA cloning, and mutagenesis.
- Conduct cell culture and transduction with shRNA and Crispr gRNA lentiviruses.
- Maintain detailed records of experimental data and contribute to the development of new research projects.
- Collaborate with researchers and scientists to design and implement experiments.
- Perform general lab management tasks, including ordering supplies and maintaining equipment.
- At minimum, a BSc degree in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.
- At minimum, six (6) months of demonstrated research experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent organization, and ability to learn quickly.
- Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail and perform multiple concurrent tasks.
- Can work well both independently and in a team environment.
