Legal Advisor – 16-month contract (Maternity Leave)

We are seeking a seasoned legal professional to join our team as a Legal Advisor. In this role, you will be responsible for negotiating commercial contracts with customers, suppliers, and business partners.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Negotiating, drafting, and reviewing various commercial contracts
  • Providing legal support to business operations regarding contract interpretation and risk management
  • Participating in the management of litigation and other disputes
  • Maintaining a legal watch to keep abreast of relevant legislative and regulatory developments

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Three to five years' experience in business law (firm or corporate)
  • Member of the Quebec Bar
  • Experience in regulatory compliance, including privacy issues
  • Writing, negotiation, communication, research, and analytical skills
  • Fluency in spoken and written French and English, given the international nature of the work. Knowledge of Spanish will be considered an asset.
