We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Civil Site Superintendent. This is an opportunity to work with a company that values integrity, respect, trust, honesty, fairness, and loyalty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver projects within time, budget, and quality requirements.
  • Work closely with project managers, consultants, trade contractors, inspectors, and regulatory agencies to prepare and execute project plans.
  • Attend pre-construction meetings and project meetings with stakeholders.
  • Communicate project status with all stakeholders.
  • Coordinate construction crews, equipment, material supply, inspections, and subcontractors.
  • Maintain communication and working relationships with owners, subcontractors, contract administrators, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and work regulation policies.
  • Work with the project team to set up construction projects, including analyzing specifications, drawings, and construction schedules.
  • Track rental equipment and labor.
  • Communicate contract requirements to foremen.
  • Track and capture out-of-scope work and communicate with project managers.
  • Participate in company and project safety programs and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of experience working as a civil construction superintendent.
  • Extensive experience in the construction industry, including supervisory, management, or leadership roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or post-secondary education in a construction-related field.
  • Knowledge of construction aspects, including technology, equipment, methods, trade agreements, and jurisdiction.
  • Ability to successfully supervise a construction project.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Projects, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Municipal, subdivision, and ICI experience is a must.
  • Experience in heavy civil work, particularly in sewer/watermain, earthworks, roadworks, and bridges.
  • Exceptional time management, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with other project teams and stakeholders.
  • Extensive knowledge of best industry practices and standards.
