As a Senior Credit Risk Analytics Specialist at Banque Nationale du Canada, you will serve as an expert in risk evaluation for both Personal and Commercial credit portfolios. Your role will involve contributing to the enhancement, optimization, and advancement of various risk assessment tools and methodologies. Additionally, you will collaborate within a team of enthusiastic professionals, where the work is engaging and varied, and opportunities for growth are abundant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage actively in reporting activities concerning the quality of Personal and Commercial portfolios by developing risk metrics and regularly producing information for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct intricate analyses to pinpoint concentration risks and underperformance within portfolios that could pose potential losses for the organization.
  • Take part in special regulatory data requests (OSFI, BoC, FCAC, AMF) and initiatives aimed at enhancing the credit quality of loan portfolios.
  • Provide recommendations to improve the quality of information and the efficiency of information production and risk assessments.
  • Address a variety of ad hoc inquiries by supplying pertinent information to support decision-making or to fulfill regulatory obligations.
  • Collaborate with internal partners on outreach initiatives and special projects.
Your Team

The Vice-President, Credit and Climate Risk Analytics, comprises over 80 specialists who operate in an agile, proactive, and collaborative manner to seize opportunities, remain at the forefront of technology, and continuously enhance processes.

Within the Credit Risk Analytics division, you will join a large team of 10 colleagues and report to the Senior Director of Analytics. Our team is distinguished by its dynamic professionals with quantitative expertise and their portfolio analyses that inform business decisions and manage credit losses.

Qualifications
  • Relevant educational background and a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the field.
  • Proficiency in executing complex credit risk analyses on portfolios.
  • Experience in handling substantial datasets and deriving meaningful insights regarding portfolio credit quality.
  • Familiarity with SQL programming language.
  • Strong command of Excel.
Language Requirements
  • Language: French

This language proficiency is necessary for collaboration with regulatory authorities outside Quebec.
