About this role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Management Excellence Lead to join our team at Houle. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all company projects and ensuring adherence to project management best practices.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a culture of collaboration and trust across all Houle operating units.
  • Drive corporate policy compliance, particularly around project management and estimating.
  • Conduct internal training and work with HR to track assessments and training.
  • Assess the need for training Project Managers and Estimators on topics such as Houle's standards in Project Management, industry best practices, and software skills.
  • Standardize and align best practices across Houle operating units.
  • Train and mentor PMs with Job Status Reports and other reports.
  • Monitor and manage compliance with Estimating and Project Management policies.
  • Review Project Management policies and processes for relevancy and improvement.
  • Contribute to aligning purpose, values, direction, and standards across Houle by supporting and mentoring PMs and Estimators.
  • Mark Project Manager assessment surveys and review results with managers and employees.
  • Assist with estimate and technical reviews as requested by operational managers or the Chief Estimator.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry best practices, trends, regulations, and risks.
  • Approximately 20% travel to local branches.

Your experience and skills

  • 15+ years of experience in Project Management and Estimating electrical work in a construction or contracting environment with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Exceptional knowledge of PM best practices.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop others.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Accubid.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and English communication skills.

Salary range: $110,000 to $150,000 per year, plus a competitive total compensation package. Actual salary will be commensurate with experience, skills, and overall match to the position offered.
