A nurturing and dedicated child care provider is sought for a family with two school-age children. The ideal candidate should possess qualities such as maturity, warmth, energy, honesty, sociability, independence, and reliability.
Work Location: Employer's residence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prioritize the care and well-being of the children.
- Take full responsibility for household management in the absence of parents.
- Accompany the family on trips, assisting with child supervision and household tasks.
- Implement discipline strategies as instructed by the parents.
- Guide the children in personal hygiene and social skills development.
- Maintain records of daily activities and health information for the children.
- Ensure a safe and healthy living environment.
- Plan and organize engaging activities such as games and outings.
- Prepare the children for rest periods.
- Supervise and provide care for the children.
- Support the emotional well-being of the children.
- Assist children with their homework.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Completion of secondary school education or equivalent.
- A minimum of 6 months of caregiver training or at least one year of full-time paid experience in caregiving or a related field within the last three years.
- First Aid or CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Eligibility to obtain a work permit for Canada.
Work Environment: In-home care setting.
Employment Terms:
- Full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Days off: Saturday and Sunday.
- Includes 2 weeks of paid vacation, a 30-minute paid meal break, and 5 days of paid sick leave.
- Relocation expenses covered by the employer.
- Hourly wage: $18.00.
