Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Retail Cash Handling Specialist to manage transactions and provide exceptional service to our customers at 2176413 Alberta Ltd. This role is essential in ensuring smooth operations at the cash register and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
Key Responsibilities
  • Efficiently operate the cash register.
  • Process various forms of payment including cash, cheques, and credit/debit cards.
  • Accurately scan items for purchase.
  • Calculate and tabulate total payments for goods or services rendered.
  • Receive and handle payments for transactions.
  • Reconcile daily or shift payments with total sales figures.
  • Engage in suggestive selling to enhance customer experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area and stock shelves.
  • Greet and assist customers with a friendly demeanor.
  • Provide excellent customer service to meet client needs.
  • Verify customer age for the sale of restricted items such as lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
  • Must demonstrate strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods is required.
