Industrial Painter Job Description

Marshall Canada is seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to join our team in Moncton. As an Industrial Painter, you will be responsible for applying body fillers, sanding, preparing, masking, taping, and applying surface coatings to deployable shelters and associated components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prime and paint shelters and component parts, including necessary prep work such as applying body filler, masking, taping, sanding, and blasting when necessary.
  • Mix by weight primer and paint, blend and match paint colors, and paint in accordance with paint manufacture's specifications.
  • Prepare parts and shelters to time, cost, and quality standards.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Work in accordance with Paint shop procedures (Housekeeping and good working practices).
  • May be required to work shifts and overtime due to projected manufacturing demands.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a professional paint spraying role.
  • Commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Able to work well within a team and follow training with minimal supervision.
  • Red Seal Painter or Red Seal Automotive certification is an asset.
  • Autobody Painter (or equivalent of 5,400 hours of practical experience in an automotive painter occupation) is an asset.
  • Military Occupational Structure Identification – 00134 Material Technicians are encouraged to apply.
  • Two years prior experience in prep and painting is preferred.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow processes and instructions.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with other stakeholders.

Must be eligible to meet requirements of export control and security regulations, including Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and Canadian government security clearances.
