This role is under the supervision of the Maintenance Department Director and involves managing a team of ten (10) unionized electrical personnel. The Supervisor is responsible for the daily and monthly scheduling of maintenance, repairs, and electrical modifications for facilities and operational machinery. As a leader, this individual spearheads initiatives aimed at optimizing and improving the efficiency of electrical services.
Management Responsibilities:
- Plans, directs, and oversees the work and human resources of the department by establishing priorities and addressing urgent situations.
- Communicates clear expectations to team members to enhance operational effectiveness and reduce production interruptions.
- Provides expert technical assistance in the relevant field.
- Ensures adherence to health, safety, and electrical standards for staff during procedures and activities.
- Collaborates with the Maintenance Director to assess employee performance and establish specific KPIs as necessary.
- Consistently applies the provisions of the current collective agreement.
- Engages in projects aimed at enhancing departmental functions.
- Available to respond to urgent situations.
Educational Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in instrumentation control or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Possession of a C License; A2 is preferred.
- Strong understanding of the Quebec Construction Code, Chapter V - Electricity.
