Job Title: Drywall Finisher

Gauthier Drywall Inc is seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team. As a Drywall Finisher, you will be responsible for applying successive coats of compound and sanding seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for plastering
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the field
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a commercial and residential setting, working at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages. The work environment will be dusty, noisy, and physically demanding.
