Job Title: Director of Surface Infrastructure Management

Starboard Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced Director of Surface Infrastructure Management to lead the development and management of surface infrastructure on a major uranium mining project in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate all activities related to engineering, procurement, and construction management of surface infrastructure
  • Deliver objectives for the Surface Infrastructure project area, in collaboration with the Vice President, Project Development
  • Coordinate with Project Leadership and Project Services to identify and prepare required Surface Infrastructure related reporting formats and key performance indicators
  • Review engineering drawings and specifications, develop strategies for execution, and determine appropriate construction and contracting methods
  • Interface with Environment, Permitting, and Licensing teams to ensure necessary permits and licenses are identified and tracked

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent combination of formal education, training, and experience
  • ~10+ years of leadership and management experience in the design, procurement, development, and management of remote construction sites in the mining industry
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build and maintain relationships, and communicate directly with Project Leadership
  • Complete knowledge of complex projects, including engineering, procurement, construction, and project-related activities
  • Experience in surface infrastructure design and construction, including powerplants, remote accommodations, roads, and pads

What We Offer:

  • Initial based in the company's Saskatoon office, with some travel required to consultants' offices
  • Transition to a site-based position when construction activities are being conducted
