The Métis Nation of Ontario is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to serve as the Chief of Staff for the Provincial Secretaries. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Provincial Secretaries office, ensuring effective coordination and communication with the MNO administration and senior leadership team.
- Develop and implement strategic plans in collaboration with the President and Provincial Secretaries, driving results and achieving organizational goals.
- Provide exceptional project coordination, time management, and organizational skills to support the team's success.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with MNO staff, external stakeholders, and government leadership, fostering a culture of collaboration and respect.
- 3+ years of Chief of Staff or leadership experience in an Indigenous or non-Indigenous government setting.
- Bachelor's degree or higher certification in a field such as Public Service/Government Operations/Political Science.
- Recent experience interacting with boards or councils at a senior leadership level.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with a focus on relationship-building and conflict resolution.
- Ability to work extended hours or on weekends as required, and willing to travel with overnight stays in other provinces.
- Bilingualism (considered an asset).
