Job Description

Job Summary:

Nexus Systems Group Inc. is seeking a highly skilled QA Lead to lead our QA team and drive the quality of our software products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the QA Team: Provide guidance and direction to the QA team, ensuring that testing activities are completed efficiently and effectively.
  2. Develop and Maintain Test Plans: Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, outlining the scope of testing, test case selection, and testing methodologies.
  3. Manage Testing Activities: Oversee the testing process, ensuring that all testing scenarios are thoroughly tested and documented.
  4. Define and Manage QA Processes: Establish and implement quality standards and procedures for effective QA practices, ensuring that all testing activities are aligned with company standards.
  5. Risk Management: Identify potential risks that could affect the quality of the software or delay its delivery, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  6. Support and Troubleshoot: Provide support and troubleshooting for ABMs in the lab, ensuring that all hardware components are functioning correctly.
  7. Maintain Comprehensive Documentation: Ensure that all testing activities, including test plans, test cases, and test results, are thoroughly documented and easily accessible.
  8. Access Privileges: Manage access privileges for team members, ensuring that all team members have the necessary access to perform their duties.
  9. Ensure Smooth Functioning: Ensure that all ABMs are functioning smoothly, and that all testing scenarios are thoroughly tested and documented.
  10. Work with Development Team: Collaborate with the development team to ensure that all testing activities are aligned with development activities.
  11. Create Test Strategy: Develop and maintain a comprehensive test strategy, including test cases, test data, and test environments.
  12. Test and Support Manual Testing: Perform manual testing and provide support for testing activities, ensuring that all testing scenarios are thoroughly tested and documented.
  13. Provide Advanced Test Environment: Provide advanced test environments and data conditioning setup for end-to-end verification.
  14. Coordinate Code Promotion: Coordinate the promotion of code from one test environment to another, ensuring that all testing activities are completed efficiently and effectively.
  15. Work with Team: Collaborate with the team to test defects and issues raised, ensuring that all testing activities are completed efficiently and effectively.
  16. Reports Project Updates: Provide concise project updates to stakeholders, ensuring that all testing activities are aligned with company standards.

Candidate Requirements:

  1. 8+ Years' Experience: Minimum 8 years' experience as a QA Test Lead, with a strong background in software testing.
  2. Leadership Experience: Demonstrated experience leading test strategy, test cases, and testing activities.
  3. Technical Experience: 5+ years' experience as a system or network administrator, with a strong understanding of hardware and software components.
  4. ABM/ATM Experience: 3+ years' experience with ABM/ATM lab setup and management, with a strong understanding of hardware and software components.
  5. Agile Experience: Experience working in an Agile environment, with a strong understanding of Agile principles and practices.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  1. ABM/ATM Experience: 3+ years' experience with ABM/ATM and CRU experience on Diebold Nixdorf, a strong asset.
  2. Automation Testing: Experience with automation testing on tools like Eggplant.
  3. Hardware Management: Experience managing hardware for customer-facing self-service kiosks.
  4. Hardware Troubleshooting: Experience troubleshooting and testing ABM/ATM hardware components.
  5. Project Management Tools: Experience with Jira and Confluence.

  1. Excellent Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders.
  2. Process Improvement: Always looks for ways to improve processes and procedures, ensuring that all testing activities are aligned with company standards.
  3. Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  4. Team Player: Team player, approachable, and easy to work with, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  5. Self-Directed: Self-directed/self-starter type, requires minimal hand-holding, with the ability to work independently and make decisions effectively.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or related field required.
