About the Role

Amplitude is a leading digital analytics platform that empowers companies to unlock the full potential of their products. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our Android products and driving innovation in the field of mobile analytics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of new features for our Android platform, ensuring seamless integration with our existing products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the development and support of our Android products, including the Analytics SDK for Android.
  • Streamline the data setup experience, eliminating friction from SDK integration to building the first chart within Amplitude.
  • Contribute to the development of our Android products, leveraging expertise in multiple programming languages and technologies.
  • Provide technical support to engineers deploying our analytics SDKs in their applications, ensuring they have the resources they need to succeed.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality developer documentation, making it easy for developers to integrate our SDKs into their applications.
  • Extend our CI/CD pipeline to automate the build process, testing, and deployment of SDKs to their respective package managers.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in building SDKs or libraries for mobile platforms, with a strong focus on Android.
  • Familiarity with building apps for iOS and Android using Swift, Kotlin, React Native, or Flutter.
  • Track record of shipping libraries with elegant APIs used broadly within your company or externally as OSS.
