We are currently in search of a qualified candidate for the position of Senior Manager of Civil Projects. This pivotal role will oversee and nurture client relationships while spearheading business development initiatives with significant civil and industrial stakeholders.

In this capacity, you will embody an entrepreneurial mindset and a collaborative approach to foster and expand business opportunities with our partners. The ideal candidate will promote strong safety practices while providing leadership and direction for project objectives, critical challenges, and innovative concepts.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Engage with major civil and industrial clients, maintaining daily relationships with key decision-makers and the project team, including job scopes, estimates, and resource allocation.
  2. Plan and oversee the execution of assigned projects to ensure they are completed in line with design specifications, safety protocols, and budgetary constraints to meet profit goals.
  3. Supervise subcontractors and suppliers effectively.
  4. Collaborate with the project team to develop a comprehensive and cost-effective set of plans and specifications.
  5. Facilitate clear communication among team members.
  6. Identify opportunities to enhance value for clients by assessing design and material choices for cost-effectiveness.
  7. Manage the tendering process, contract awards, and overall contract administration.
  8. Prepare and monitor budget and cost reports.
  9. Assess design modifications.
  10. Handle progress claims and change orders with clients.
  11. Act as a mentor and resource for the project team.
  12. Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
Required Competencies:
  1. A degree in Civil Engineering with 5-10+ years of direct experience on large-scale civil projects.
  2. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is a valuable asset.
  3. Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation or equivalent experience is preferred.
  4. Proficient in using MS Project.
  5. Advanced knowledge of civil engineering principles and the ability to articulate ideas effectively.
  6. Demonstrated leadership capabilities within the field and a talent for coaching and mentoring.
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  8. Excellent time management abilities.
  9. Outstanding teamwork and interpersonal skills, with effective communication to ensure transparency between site and project teams.
