Position Overview

As a Network Operations Specialist at BITPOS Solutions Ltd, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our network systems. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining and troubleshooting our local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs).

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting 1 to 2 years.
Work Environment
  • Relocation costs are not covered by the employer.
  • Willingness to relocate is required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer, troubleshoot, and maintain local and wide area networks, including mainframe networks and associated computer workstations.
  • Assess and install necessary computer hardware, networking software, and operating systems.
  • Provide effective problem-solving support to network users.
  • Implement security protocols for data, software, and hardware.
  • Conduct routine network startup and shutdown procedures while maintaining control records.
  • Perform data backups and manage disaster recovery processes.
  • Establish local area networks and internet connections.
  • Utilize network traffic and security monitoring tools to enhance server performance.
  • Modify web pages, applets, and scripts as needed.

  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle repetitive tasks.
  • Physical demands may include handling heavy loads and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
