National Director of Credit and Business Development

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled National Director of Credit and Business Development to join our team at the Bank of Montreal. This is a senior leadership role that requires a deep understanding of commercial lending and business development.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute business development plans to achieve or exceed business goals.
- Provide expert advice and solutions to corporate clients and prospects to fulfill client needs and generate revenue.
- Lead and manage a team of credit and business development professionals.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop consistent and appropriate customer presentations, craft detailed correspondence, presentations, and proposals.
- Develop and apply the framework for databases; oversee database management in adherence with data governance standards.
- Monitor and track performance, and address any issues.
- Develop and execute operational programs; assess and adapt as needed to ensure quality of execution.
- Provide accurate financial analysis and risk assessment of new and existing customers.
- Develop credit information to make lending decisions on new, renewal, and extension loans.
- Assist in negotiations of terms and conditions of all decisions made via phone and e-mail interaction with clients.
- Prepare summary, present facts, and offer opinions concerning credit worthiness.
- Minimize BMO's risk exposure by adhering to internal credit policies and procedures with respect to lending decisions.
- Provide input into the planning and implementation of operational programs.
- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Typically 9+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
