Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Duty Equipment Supervisor to join our team at Emterra Group. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operation of our equipment and ensuring that all maintenance activities are carried out in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of mechanics and apprentices in the maintenance and repair of heavy duty equipment
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential safety hazards and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize and assign tasks, and ensure that all work is completed to a high standard
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, and participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies
Requirements
  • Red Seal Certificate in Heavy Equipment Mechanic trade
  • 5 years of experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Strong technical knowledge of heavy duty equipment and maintenance practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety and quality
  • Valid driver's license with air brake endorsement
