Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Banquet Porter to join our team at ROLOH INVESTMENTS LTD. O/A BEST WESTERN PORT O'CALL HOTEL. As a Banquet Porter, you will be responsible for setting up, installing, reconfiguring, relocating, and dismantling temporary partitions and furnishings of rooms, addressing customers' complaints or concerns, and assisting clients/guests with special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and break down banquet and event spaces, including tables, chairs, linens, and other equipment
  • Assist with food and beverage service, including clearing and cleaning tables, trays, and chairs
  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Work collaboratively with the events team to ensure seamless execution of events and meetings
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety standards
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in a hospitality or events role an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and stand for long periods
