About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Good Shepherd Centres. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals and their families in a palliative care setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and caregivers
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and registered in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • BCLS certificate required
  • Experience working with individuals and their families in end-of-life or life-limiting illness care
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to work with evidence-based practices related to pain and symptom management
  • Previous palliative care experience in hospital-based palliative care, hospice, or other healthcare settings
  • Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team
  • Enhanced Fundamentals of Palliative Care is an asset
  • Resourceful problem-solver with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attendance record required
