We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Good Shepherd Centres. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals and their families in a palliative care setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and caregivers
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and registered in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- BCLS certificate required
- Experience working with individuals and their families in end-of-life or life-limiting illness care
- Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to work with evidence-based practices related to pain and symptom management
- Previous palliative care experience in hospital-based palliative care, hospice, or other healthcare settings
- Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team
- Enhanced Fundamentals of Palliative Care is an asset
- Resourceful problem-solver with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attendance record required
