Job Summary

MARK IT LOCATES INC. is seeking a skilled Hydrovac Truck Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating a hydrovac truck, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and ensuring the vehicle is in good working condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a hydrovac truck to perform various tasks, including driving, loading, and unloading equipment.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and to identify any potential issues.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Drive lighter, special purpose trucks as required.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption to ensure accurate records are kept.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch to ensure effective communication.
Requirements
  • Driver's License (Class 3 or D) is required.
  • Experience with hydrovac trucks is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Physical stamina to perform the demands of the job is required.
