Concrete Finisher Position Overview

Torus Construction Corporation is seeking a dedicated Concrete Finisher to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the quality and durability of concrete structures.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years in concrete finishing is preferred.
Work Environment

The position involves working in various conditions, including:

  • Dusty environments
  • Heights
  • Cold and refrigerated areas
  • Potentially dangerous settings
  • Hot and noisy outdoor conditions
  • Wet or damp surfaces
Work Setting

Concrete finishing tasks will be performed at:

  • Sidewalks and curbs
  • Multiple job sites
Key Responsibilities

The Concrete Finisher will be responsible for:

  • Filling hollows and eliminating imperfections on freshly poured concrete.
  • Leveling the top surface of concrete to meet grade and depth specifications.
  • Applying the desired finish to concrete surfaces using both hand and power tools.
  • Utilizing hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces effectively.
  • Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials as needed.
Certifications and Training

Preferred certifications include:

  • Occupational Health and Safety Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Training for working at heights
Security and Safety

A criminal record check is required for this position.

Transportation

A valid driver's license is necessary for this role.
