Responsibilities:
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
  • Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
  • Post journal entries
  • Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
  • Prepare trial balance of books
  • Reconcile accounts
  • Provide staff training
  • Work with on-line accounts and systems
  • Prepare T4 statements and other statements
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in bookkeeping and accounting
  • College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in accounting software, including Caseware/Caseview, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Windows, MS Word, Quick Books, and Sage Accounting Software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
