Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Integration Developer to join our team at QNX Software Systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for working with our newest and largest customers to integrate our QNX products into their systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish module and system level architecture at the beginning of projects
  • Make recommendations for best practices in using QNX products
  • Run experiments to prove out architectural decisions
  • Troubleshoot and debug customer issues
  • Participate in safety and security related topics
  • Write Proof Of Concept apps to aid integration of QNX modules into customer systems
  • Deep dive into performance issues and possible optimizations
  • Learn how to leverage the differences in various HW platforms to an advantage

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of embedded software development experience
  • Strong C programming skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of GCC and GDB is considered an asset
  • Experience working on large projects with high levels of integration is an asset
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking/innovation skills
  • Hands on development experience using embedded operating systems (QNX, Linux, GreenHills, VXworks)
  • Exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Proven ability to deal with sensitive matters with diplomacy, tact, and confidentiality
  • Enthusiasm and a desire to learn about new technologies
  • Hands on experience in developing software following safety standards (ISO26262, IEC61508, etc) or MIL standards is a standout skill

Travel Requirements:

This role involves some travel within North America and Europe.
