QualificationsEducation
  • Completion of a trades certificate or diploma in a relevant field.
Experience
  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance.
Work Environment
  • Maintenance and repair of machinery.
  • Service operations and machine overhauls.
  • Machine setup and shop work.
Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and troubleshoot machinery irregularities and malfunctions.
  • Repair or replace faulty machinery components.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on equipment.
  • Install machinery and associated equipment.
  • Operate lifting and hoisting devices.
  • Join piping sections using welding and soldering techniques.
  • Test piping systems for leaks using pressure gauges.
Certifications
  • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification.
  • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal Endorsement.
Equipment Proficiency
  • Experience with fans, blowers, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Familiarity with power tools, pumps, compressors, and turbines.
  • Proficient in using hand tools and managing storage systems.
Specialization Areas
  • Troubleshooting and vibration analysis.
Safety and Security
  • Must be bondable.
Transportation Requirements
  • Personal transportation is necessary.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Willingness to work overtime and stand for extended periods.
