Your Role as a Boom Truck Operator:

The Boom Truck Operator is responsible for operating vehicles that require a 'DZ' license and Boom Operator's designation. This role involves delivering materials to customers while adhering to safety regulations and ensuring exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare customer orders, securing them on the skid with appropriate banding and wrapping based on weather and loading conditions.
  • Prepare the vehicle for delivery, ensuring all products are securely loaded and protected from the elements, and that all necessary paperwork is available.
  • Transport materials to residential properties and construction sites.
  • Utilize two-way radios and cell phones to receive instructions and provide status updates.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on the truck and boom, including daily inspections and ensuring safety equipment, straps, and paperwork are in order.
  • Adhere to safe operating procedures, report potential hazards to the supervisor, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Assist customers in the yard and store as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Valid 'DZ' level driver's license and Boom Operator's license are required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to assess customer needs and provide effective solutions.

Compensation:

Wage: $32.00 per hour. Pay may vary based on experience and is specific to the position and location advertised.
