Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across international routes, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining the highest level of safety and security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from trucks, adhering to company procedures and regulations.
  • Obtain Special Permits: Obtain necessary permits and documents to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Operate Trucks: Drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage.
  • Emergency Repairs: Perform emergency roadside repairs and ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Pre-Trip Inspections: Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is safe and compliant with regulations.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo during transportation.
Requirements:
  • Driver's License: Possess a valid Class 1 or A driver's license.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a truck driver is an asset.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
