At Standard Truck & Crane Ltd., we are seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across the country. Your duties will include loading and unloading cargo, obtaining necessary permits, and operating a variety of trucks to transport goods. You will also be responsible for maintaining the condition of your vehicle, performing routine inspections, and ensuring the safety and security of your cargo. Additionally, you will be required to obtain a Driver's License (Class 1 or A) and have a strong understanding of English. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for trucking, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Load and unload goods
* Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
* Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
* Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
* Perform brake adjustments
* Perform emergency roadside repairs
* Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
* Perform preventive maintenance
* Receive and relay information to central dispatch
* Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
* Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

**Requirements:**

* Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
* Work Term: Permanent
* Work Language: English
* Hours: 40 hours per week
