Join our team at D Spot Dessert Cafe as a dedicated Baker. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting a variety of baked goods that delight our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
- Preparation: Skillfully prepare dough for an array of products including pies, breads, rolls, and pastries, following recipes or custom orders.
- Baking: Bake mixed dough and batters to perfection.
- Training: Mentor and train staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe food handling practices.
- Special Orders: Accommodate and prepare unique customer requests.
- Supervision: Oversee baking staff and kitchen operations to ensure smooth workflow.
- Decoration: Frost and embellish cakes and baked items to enhance their visual appeal.
- Quality Control: Ensure all products meet established quality standards.
- Machinery Operation: Operate baking equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory of baking supplies.
- Sales Oversight: Manage the sales and merchandising of baked goods.
- Allergy Awareness: Prepare dishes that cater to customers with food allergies or dietary restrictions.
We are looking for candidates with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a baking or pastry role.
