Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Family Lawyer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of current experience in British Columbia family law practice and be able to handle challenging work and manage files independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently manage family law files and handle a wide range of family law matters, including separation agreements, spousal maintenance, and asset division.
  • Conduct hearings, discoveries, mediations, and trials, and instruct support staff and receive instructions from clients.
  • Draft pleadings and speak to chamber applications, and negotiate at mediations and appear at trials.
  • Manage all aspects of a file from beginning to end, and have experience in general civil litigation as an asset.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of current experience in British Columbia family law practice.
  • Ability to handle challenging work and manage files independently.
  • Strong judgment, work ethic, and interpersonal skills.
  • Desire to become part of the community served and enthusiasm for growing practice and working towards partnership.
Compensation
  • Base salary: $110,000 – $160,000, depending on the year of call and experience.
