Job Summary:

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that all food is prepared and served to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role will also involve supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, as well as training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, including training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and ensure that all necessary equipment is in good working order.
  • Hire food service staff and ensure that all staff are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Prepare and submit reports on food service operations and ensure that all necessary documentation is up to date.
  • Supervise and check assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that all staff are aware of their schedules and responsibilities.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres and ability to train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods.
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling, and attention to detail.
