Job Overview:

Black & McDonald's Water/Wastewater Projects division is seeking to enhance its workforce with a Project Manager role. This position is pivotal in strategizing, organizing, and supervising projects to guarantee their timely completion, adherence to budget constraints, and compliance with quality benchmarks. The Project Manager will take charge of defining project goals, nurturing stakeholder relationships, tracking progress, and managing alterations throughout the project duration.

Primary Duties:

  • Oversee project execution concerning cost, timeline, quality, and safety standards
  • Define project goals, policies, and performance metrics
  • Foster relationships with stakeholders
  • Develop, monitor, and manage the construction timeline
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations
  • Prepare and present project cost estimates
  • Facilitate negotiations regarding scope changes as necessary
  • Assess contracts for potential risks
  • Guarantee the availability of materials and equipment
  • Conduct accurate and timely cost forecasting

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in Project Management, Construction Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience in water/wastewater projects
  • Familiarity with Wastewater Treatment Plants, Pumping Station upgrades, SCADA enhancements, and potable water improvements
  • 1-2 years of estimating experience in ICI or water/wastewater projects

Skills and Competencies:

  • Expertise in construction scheduling and planning
  • Ability to interpret structural designs
  • Understanding of business operations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Procore, Plangrid, JD Edwards, CAD, and Revit
