Water/Wastewater Project Manager Job Description

At HDR, we are seeking a highly skilled Water/Wastewater Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Water Business Group, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex water and wastewater projects from scoping to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute project scopes, schedules, and fees for planning and design projects.
  • Lead and supervise teams of engineers and CAD professionals to create detailed master plans, designs, and cost estimates.
  • Interface with clients to ensure project success and exceed their expectations.
  • Develop and execute QA/QC and risk management plans for each project.
  • Perform or oversee modeling and hydraulic calculation efforts related to gravity and pressure piping systems.
  • Prepare preliminary design, basis of design reports, routing and alignment studies, and other engineering reports.
  • Develop and write engineering specifications and front-end documents.
  • Oversee the production of design drawings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 7 years of related experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of project management experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • MS Office and MS Project experience required.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
