Job Title: Distribution Operations Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Distribution Operations Director to lead our Guelph DC team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution centre, providing millions of Canadians with their favorite cup of coffee every day.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of distribution operations, including warehousing and transportation.
  • Develop and implement routines, policies, and standard operating procedures for the warehouse, transportation, and maintenance departments.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, identifying and addressing safety issues promptly.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators, preparing reports and statistics to inform business decisions.
  • Forecast short-term and mid-term labour requirements, managing headcount budgets and preparing annual DC budgets.
  • Ensure the integrity of operations within the Guelph DC, using various systems and reports to capture and manipulate data.
  • Continuously monitor and improve quality-control procedures and operating costs, offering alternative solutions to system and procedural issues.
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years' experience in warehouse and freight logistics, with 4+ years of management experience.
  • Experience with warehouse and labour management systems, transportation management systems, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated servant leadership, people focus, and commitment to safety.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
