About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and physically capable individual to join our team as an Ironworker Assistant at Nijjar Rebar & Stucco Ltd. As an Ironworker Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our ironworking team in the installation of rebar and stucco systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, Unload, and Transport Construction Materials
  • Erect and Dismantle Concrete Forms, Scaffolding, Ramps, Catwalks, Shoring, and Barricades
  • Assist Medical Examiner in Charge
  • Level Earth to Fine Grade Specifications
  • Clean and Pile Salvaged Materials
  • Remove Rubble and Other Debris at Construction Sites
  • Tend or Feed Machines or Equipment Used in Construction
  • Direct Traffic at or Near Construction Sites
Work Environment

As an Ironworker Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You will be required to work outdoors, underground, and in confined spaces. You will also be exposed to cold and refrigerated environments.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience: Will train on the job
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, handling heavy loads, and repetitive tasks
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, tight deadlines, and overtime required
  • Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
