Position Overview:
The role of Specialist II in Global Account Services is a dynamic and engaging support position focused on sales. This position involves collaborating with international clients across various segments by managing group and transient hotel reservations from significant global accounts through various communication channels. Specialists utilize both internal and external computer systems to facilitate their tasks. They work closely with global sellers, clients, and hotels to negotiate favorable rates and terms for clients and groups, utilizing proposals and contracts. The scope of groups can vary significantly, from a single hotel room to thousands of rooms. Specialists engage through multiple platforms, including phones, web interfaces, client software, and email, to identify and convert revenue opportunities while fostering strong relationships with both new and existing key accounts. Meeting revenue and conversion targets, as well as adhering to Service Level Agreements, is a critical aspect of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process incoming opportunities and convert them into confirmed bookings.
- Engage with clients, global sellers, hotels, and customers through inbound and outbound communications.
- Utilize computer systems to negotiate rates and gather information for clients, ensuring follow-up on related tasks.
- Manage email correspondence to request contracts and rates, maintaining communication with clients, hotels, and global sellers.
- Handle inbound inquiries from clients, hotels, and global sellers effectively.
Qualifications for Success:
- Ability to engage with company-provided training programs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with the travel industry is advantageous.
Required Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Outlook, and web browser usage.
- Minimum of one year of sales experience, preferably within the hospitality sector.
