Job Summary

RT Medical is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team. As an RPN, you will provide high-quality care to individuals in long-term care facilities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Monitor and assess residents' health conditions, providing timely interventions as needed.
  • Provide wound care and assist with dressing changes, ensuring proper wound management.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans, promoting resident-centered care.
  • Educate residents and their families about health conditions and treatments, empowering them to make informed decisions.
  • Ensure residents' safety and comfort, responding promptly to emergencies and providing immediate care as needed.
  • Document residents' health status and care provided, maintaining accurate and comprehensive records.
Requirements
  • Diploma from a recognized RPN program or equivalent.
  • Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Experience working in a long-term care or retirement home setting is considered an asset.
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, walk, crouch, kneel, and reach, with the ability to lift 50lbs (23 kg) independently.
  • Valid Standard First Aid and Level C CPR certification.
  • Updated immunization records, including completion of a two-step tuberculosis test within the last 6 months.
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector checks are required upon hire.
