Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) Role in Aspira Quinte Gardens Retirement Living
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Practical Nurse to join our team in providing high-quality care to our residents.
As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for preparing and administering medications, documenting resident concerns, and promoting self-care and wellness.
Your typical day will involve:
• Preparing and administering prescribed medications and treatments as directed by the physician.
• Documenting and following up on all concerns and complaints from residents, families, and team members.
• Promoting resident self-care and self-sufficiency, emphasizing adaptation and abilities, and providing preventative health education.
• Completing required assessments, RAPS, and care plans within set timeframes.
• Supporting unregulated care workers through guidance, direction, training, and education.
Must-haves:
• Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate.
• Current Medication Administration Certificate.
• Minimum of one year experience in Geriatric Nursing, Healthcare, and/or Rehabilitation as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN).
Bonus points for having:
• Post-graduate studies in Geriatrics and Nursing Administration.
