We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team at Ponoka IDA Drugstore. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities- Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, fixed assets, and depreciation
- Maintain general ledgers, financial statements, and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
- Post journal entries, prepare statistical, financial and accounting reports, and prepare tax returns
- Prepare trial balance of books and maintain accurate financial records
- 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field
- College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
- Excellent written communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Permanent employment with 32 hours per week
