Lead Gaming Programmer

Epic Games is seeking an experienced Lead Gaming Programmer to join our growing Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development of gameplay mechanics and tools for our flagship title, Fortnite.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and implementation of gameplay mechanics and tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical excellence of Fortnite on multiple platforms
  • Contribute ideas toward all aspects of the game's production and development
  • Manage and lead a team of engineers to achieve project goals
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in a lead engineer role, with demonstrated ability to manage or lead a team effectively
  • Strong C++ skills and the ability to code and architect gameplay mechanics and tools
  • Well-versed in games and the ability to articulate what is strong/weak about the design of existing games
  • Experience working on a live service game
