About the Role:
The Assistant Manager - Prepared Foods is a key member of our team at EightSix Network, responsible for supporting the General Manager in the day-to-day operations of our prepared foods department. This role requires a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the General Manager in planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and coordinating the work in the prepared foods department.
- Ensure the quality of products and services meets customer expectations by optimizing inventory levels, managing stock, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to manage purchases, inventory, pricing, and marketing initiatives in accordance with established standards.
- Receive and store merchandise in accordance with established standards.
- Prepare and cook food as needed.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to government regulations and company health and safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or college diploma (in progress or completed).
- Minimum of two years of experience in a retail environment or similar role.
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships within the team.
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal communication skills.
