We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a Registered Nurse - Patient Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and promoting a safe and supportive environment for our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices, policies, and procedures to ensure evidence-based care
- Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant
- Post-graduate courses (within the last five years) appropriate to service assignment or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
- Ability to promote safe, competent, patient care
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all members of the healthcare team
- Ability to communicate, and maintain good public relations with family and friends of patients
- Ability to recognize and intervene appropriately in an emergency situation
- Physical ability to perform duties of the position
- Ability to operate related equipment
