We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the University Hospital of Northern BC. As a Staff Registered Nurse, Medical/Surgical, you will provide direct nursing care for admitted patients and work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with the Vision, Values, Ethics, and Standards of Northern Health and the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop and implement plans to address these needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients' responses to these interventions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to promote safe, competent patient care.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all members of the healthcare team.
- Ability to recognize and intervene appropriately in emergency situations.
