Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Governance Manager to join our team at the Bank of Montreal. As a key member of our Finance & Accounting group, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining an effective financial governance and controls framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive financial governance framework that ensures the integrity and transparency of our financial operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Design and maintain a robust system of internal controls to safeguard our assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Provide guidance and support to business units on financial governance best practices, ensuring consistency and adherence to our framework.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of our financial governance framework, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in financial governance, risk management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
