PCL Constructors is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our construction projects from inception to completion. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Project Administration: Provide overall contract administration, technical expertise, and support to the project team.
- Safety Management: Develop and implement a comprehensive project safety plan, and lead by example in promoting a culture of health and safety within the project team.
- Project Delivery: Ensure that the project is constructed in accordance with the design, budget, resources, quality, and schedule requirements.
- Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for value engineering and propose solutions that benefit the project in terms of functionality, cost, and schedule.
- Performance Management: Monitor and report on project performance, including safety, cost forecast, and schedule.
- Contract Management: Negotiate and issue subcontracts, major purchase orders, and progress payments, and monitor their progress and schedule.
- Contract Compliance: Ensure that the project team understands, communicates, and enforces the contract and contract documents.
- Project Closeout: Develop and coordinate the overall project closeout process.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage risks and opportunities on construction projects.
- Education: Postsecondary degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Experience: 8–10 years of progressive construction experience with leadership and mentoring preferred.
- Security Clearance: Eligible for security clearance (Secret Level).
- Safety Culture: Demonstrated experience in implementing a strong safety culture by application of health, safety, and environment principles and legislation.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the construction industry, including building materials, construction specifications, methods and procedures, construction law and building codes, and safety and quality management practices.
- Business Acumen: Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills, including the ability to manage project budgets and schedules.
- Communication Skills: Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.
- Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, project management and scheduling software, with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
