Key Responsibilities:- Develop and uphold service protocols for Transportation and Meals on Wheels, ensuring compliance with standards and driver qualifications.
- Evaluate the eligibility of clients for Transportation and Meals on Wheels services, including needs assessment and management of confidential client records.
- Direct non-eligible individuals to alternative community resources and connect clients with additional health or social services as necessary.
- Oversee the coordination of requests for Transportation and Meals on Wheels, optimizing routing and scheduling for efficient vehicle and volunteer utilization.
- Address all client inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Conduct inspections of Red Cross vehicles, ensuring cleanliness and functionality, and manage fleet maintenance in collaboration with the Fleet Manager.
- Ensure accurate billing for clients and follow up on outstanding accounts.
- Generate statistical reports and correspondence as required by various funding bodies, providing these to the Senior Manager.
- Contribute to the annual budget planning process and monitor program expenditures.
- Assist in the creation of service plans and support the development of program presentations and proposals for external funding opportunities.
- Represent the organization at external meetings to foster community partnerships and promote program initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with service standards and procedures through supervision and adherence to Quality Management (QM) and Risk Management policies.
- Establish a respectful and dignified environment for volunteers, staff, and clients.
- Recruit, train, orient, supervise, and assess program volunteers.
- Support staff in resolving client-related issues.
- Completion of a college diploma.
- One to three years of relevant work experience or a combination of education and experience, particularly in Volunteer Resource Management.
- Familiarity with client and vehicle database management and basic financial oversight.
- Strong skills in customer service, organization, time management, and interpersonal communication.
- Experience in national, service-oriented, non-profit organizations is advantageous.
- Experience in Volunteer Management and training is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory capabilities are preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications is required.
- Experience with SIMS is a bonus.
- Work primarily conducted in an office environment.
- A clear 3-year Driver's Abstract is required.
- Eligibility to work in Canada is necessary.
- Successful candidates will undergo a pre-employment screening process, including an Enhanced Police Information Check (E-PIC).
