• Oversee all quality assurance functions related to vendors and subcontractors.

• Conduct comprehensive supplier evaluations.

• Execute thorough supplier audits.

• Provide quality insights during the supplier selection process.

• Facilitate supplier performance assessments and track relevant performance metrics.

• Identify and prioritize supplier development requirements across various programs and business sectors.

• Offer technical guidance and leadership in the sourcing and development of suppliers concerning technology, performance, quality, cost, logistics, and delivery.

• Lead investigations, root cause analyses, corrective actions, and process enhancements.

• Advise project teams on the application of Ultra's quality management system.

• Deliver quality awareness training sessions.

• Ensure effective maintenance and review of risk management tools.

• Promote the significance of quality throughout Ultra.

Essential Qualifications:

• Diploma, degree, or equivalent professional experience.

• Minimum of 3 years of quality experience in a manufacturing setting.

• Willingness to travel to various Ultra locations and supplier sites.

• Experience in managing non-conformance documentation.

• Proficient in auditing practices.

• Background in supplier sourcing, engineering, quality assurance, manufacturing, and program management.

• Ability to interpret engineering schematics and familiarity with manufacturing methodologies.

• Strong analytical skills and capability to develop and implement objectives.

• The ideal candidate must be eligible for Canadian government NATO security clearance and meet all criteria to work on Controlled Goods projects.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with IFS ERP is advantageous.

• Experience as an internal auditor; lead auditor certification preferred.

• Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001:2015 standards.

• Understanding of AQAP / Defense Standards is a plus.

• Knowledge of IPC-A-610 / 620 is beneficial.

• Membership in a recognized professional body is desirable.

• Ability to perform under pressure with a focus on achieving results.

• Collaborative mindset with a diverse range of individuals.

• Positive, proactive attitude with a strong drive for excellence.

• High attention to detail and effective time management skills.

• Dependable and capable of working with minimal supervision.

• Well-organized and focused on delivery.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
