Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Ultra Maritime. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in our supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality assurance strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to evaluate their quality management systems.
  • Provide quality input to supplier selection and development, ensuring that only the highest-quality suppliers are selected.
  • Facilitate supplier performance reviews and maintain associated metrics to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize supplier development needs.
  • Provide technical expertise and leadership to sourcing and development of suppliers, ensuring that they meet the required quality standards.
  • Investigate and resolve quality-related issues, implementing corrective actions and process improvements as needed.
  • Develop and deliver quality awareness training to project teams, ensuring that they understand and adhere to Ultra Maritime's quality management system.
  • Ensure that risk management and associated tools are maintained and reviewed effectively.
Requirements
  • Diploma, graduate degree, or equivalent work experience in a quality-related field.
  • At least 3 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to travel to visit other Ultra Maritime sites and suppliers.
  • Experience in managing non-conformance reports and auditing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and expertise to develop and execute objectives.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of IFS ERP.
  • Internal auditor - Lead auditor preferred.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001:2015.
  • Knowledge of AQAP / Defense Standards and IPC-A-610 / 620.
  • Member of a relevant recognized chartered body.
