About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Bridgeway Connection Services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities and ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Supply and empty bed pans and maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Take patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Serve meal trays and assist patients with feeding and hydration.
  • Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients with care and attention to their needs.
  • Make beds and maintain patients' rooms to a high standard.
  • Bathe, dress, and groom patients with dignity and respect.
  • Transport patients in a wheelchair or stretcher, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Collect specimens and handle them with care.
Requirements
  • First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate are essential for this role.
  • Physically demanding work environment requires a high level of energy and stamina.
  • Attention to detail is crucial in this role, as you will be working with patients who require individualized care.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking is required throughout the day.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Permanent employment opportunity with a competitive salary and benefits package.
  • 35 hours per week of work, with a regular schedule and opportunities for overtime.
  • English is the primary language spoken in this role, but language proficiency is not required.
