Job Title: Glass Installation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Glass Installation Specialist to join our team at NEWCRAFT WINDOWS & DOORS INC. in a permanent position.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and repairing glass and aluminum products, including windows, doors, and skylights. This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to work at heights and handle heavy loads.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine the type of glass, frames, and materials required for each installation
  • Measure, mark, and cut glass to ensure a precise fit
  • Position and secure panes in frames, ensuring a watertight seal
  • Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass products
  • Install door, window, and other hardware, ensuring proper alignment and function
  • Repair glass doors and other glass structures, using specialized tools and techniques
  • Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency
  • Transport cases of glass, using proper lifting and handling techniques
  • Estimate costs and materials, ensuring accurate quotes and efficient use of resources
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the field
  • Ability to work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
